I always find your blogs enjoyable. It's something out of the ordinary and a bit surreal. Way cool.
It was a little confusing... I didn't realize that the what where when and why were links at first. When I first looked at the 'what' page I was excited because I thought it was going to be some sort of puzzle but they all just linked to the same places. :(
I like that you're doing something different with your blog by creating your own world and not doing the same thing as all the other blogs out there.
I really liked the crazy theme in your blog. At first I was really confused but i think that I understood more when I saw the Alice video about her going crazy. I think that the only thing that i would add would've been something at the end to tie together everything. Even a picture of someone in an asylum or something. Other than that I thought it was very creative.
I love the creativity! I also like the idea of the letter/journal formate for the posts. I thought the video was interesting.
I did not find the link set up in this piece to be reader friendly. I couldn't follow the order and it took me a bit to grasp some sort of link with the video and story. I also clicked on a link after clicking on what and it told me the page could not be displayed.
Oh yeah! I forgot to add that sometimes I felt the letter posting were so small and with the writing that made them hard to read. I don't know if you can do anything about the size but I thought I'd mention it.
Thanks for the feedback you guys-- I did want to make it more of a puzzle. But I was lazy. About the reader friendly-- again, just lazy. It's crazy how much time it takes to make things look aesthetically pleasing and interesting. I threw this together, and it took more hours than I would have thought just to do this much.
I think that from just looking briefly online at alternate reality sites, that they are awesome-- lots of work though. "Real" projecty kind of projects. If anybody else visits this after my comment, can I ask if you know anything about ARGs? Have any favorites you care to share here?
Faint light enters from the tall lamp post on the street and in through a large open window, dimly revealing within an apartment living room a
Small and creeping shadow moving across thick blue carpet. It snakes past a large wooden shelving unit. Clay figures of fantastical creatures watching from their places on the shelves, the movement across the floor.
The shadow stops. An outline of the SMALL CREATURE faintly visible.
The carpet ebbs into coral pink sand, the grains strewn randomly across the woolen textile, and then a
CORAL PINK DESERT
THREE SUNS beat down upon the desert surrounding all sides of the creature, the apartment now far removed in the distance, like the answers of some quiz show in a final moment of truth. The creature's tough skin matches the coral pink of the sand which shimmers in front of him now. A wavering
MIRAGE appears. Within its center, the large shelving unit from the apartment fades in and out, with the heat waving as mirage.
The creature pauses long enough to squint toward the distance, then moves forward like a salamander on the sand, its tail dragging a golden key behind him.
Gomey will Eat Encroachers
Wormy Guy can smell those who encroach upon others in the Desert with his forked tongue. His yellow eyes will find them in the dark, gobble them up.
Bureacrats Can Type!!!!!!!!
High priority on the list of bureaucrats in the Desert, stop encroachment! They think to protest through enacting thousands of laws typed most carefully on paper. Who cares if some laws encroach upon others in the Desert? More is . . . . MORE!
Cheers! Stuffed bear shoots 'em up
This adorable bear shoots up the giant sand worm in the desert!
Heart-struck Fish
These fish patrol the skies and electrocute those below in the desert
